ABOUT HEMLOCK LIGHTING
Experts in all things Lighting

OUR PROCESS
We'll help you navigate the important and complicated world of lighting and ensure your project is well lit, environmentally sound and friendly to your budget.
PROGRAMMING
This is the first step in the lighting design process. During this stage, we are working alongside you to determine the scope of work to be designed and are creating a 5000-foot view of the plan ahead.
SCHEMATIC DESIGN
Here's where the fun begins! This is when we start developing the basic form of the lighting plan. There will be plenty of sketching, storyboarding, throwing out ideas, and ultimately we'll select what category of fixtures we want and where. Here is when you see your illuminated path take shape.
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
This is when we really dig into the details and refine our ideas into the design. We'll look at specific fixtures together and evaluate them for style, feasibility, and price.Â
This part of the process can be a total nightmare for those who go it alone. With our expertise and guidance, it's sure to be painless and successful.
CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS
Here's where we prepare our final product, THE PLANS! These documents incorporate all of your comments, desires, and needs previously defined in earlier stages and creates a path for contractors to efficiently bid and seamlessly install your well lit space. But this isn't where we end!
LIGHTING PROCUREMENT
Navigating the jungle of manufacturers, manufacturer's reps, and distributors in the lighting world works like no other industry. Here's where our broad experience around the many facets of the lighting industry really shines! Whether you order the materials through Hemlock Lighting, your contractor, a distributor or an e-commerce site, we've got your back. We'll ensure that the right fixture gets purchased, your dollar gets used to the fullest and materials arrive when they should.
CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION
This is when we ensure the fixtures and controls are installed as per the design specifications. We'll review and approve submittals and shop drawings, we'll walk the site, we'll expeditiously answer all requests for information and resolve issues as they may arrive. When the contractor is ready, we'll test the controls, aim and focus the lights.
